Canvas of inclusivity! Art For Hope empowers young people with disabilities to chase their artistic dreams.

New Delhi: “We are aspiring photographers. We are unique! We are special! We have an extra chromosome. And that’s what makes us incredible!”

That’s how four talented individuals with disabilities introduced themselves to the audience at the recent Art for Hope event. An initiative by Hyundai, the event showcased the artwork of 10 differently abled artists. The goal is to highlight the power of inclusion and acceptance.

Tarit Khanna, 31, Shaishav Singhal, 26, Vikas Kapahi, 47, and Bharat Kumar, 47. Standing proudly next to their vibrant canvases, the artists talked about the message in their artworks – addressing water crisis.

“It feels amazing to be able to do this and share it with everyone,”

said Tarit.

“For me, photography is like therapy,”

Shaishav pointed out.

Reflecting on the creativity and time invested, Bharat said,

“We gradually learned the art of blending colours with water, capturing photos, and creating masterpieces. After about 3000 shots and a few months, we produced five beautiful snapshots.”

Vikas emphasised,

“These photos symbolise inclusion and acceptance.”

Siddhartha Puri, a mentor and artist with the Society for Child Development, collaborated with these artists and helped them enhance their skills in digital art. He stated,

“Through these photographic prints, I wanted to show the world that inclusivity is achievable.”

He concluded with a message for everyone,

“I hope this art inspires you to embrace inclusivity and be mindful of our planet.”
